Pineapple Pastries

the pineapple epitomizes luck and prosperity. Pineapple cakes were converted wedding cakes. The base of this pastry is vanilla sponge soaked in canned pineapple syrup. Then a layer of whipping cream and, of course, the star of the show—sautéed pineapples with roasted almond flakes.
